Description

Undated. Inscribed on reverse by artist. The reverse side of this photograph has affixed to it [glued] a piece of paper reading: "Elizabeth Prophett" [with two 'T's.], "Head in Wood 19 1/2 in high". Upon holding When holding the photograph to a light source, additional writing can be seen underneath the glued top sheet. It reads as follows: "Elizabeth Prophet", "Atlanta University", "Atlanta Georgia". The profile view [EP.01.10.02] is dated by the artist: 1940. The piece is said to be in the collection of the Howe/Lightbody Family. (Amaki, 164)
