Stone wrote about this image, and other farms, in the article, "Echoes of Cranston: When Auburn Was Covered With Farms." Cranston Herald. (unknown date - circa 1952)". Caption on reverse of image read, "Echos of Cranston. Hoeing spinach on the old time Pair Farm, abut 1910."
