Zenas Kevorkian (1910-1991) was a career educator, a United States Naval Officer during World War II, and a hobbyist photographer in Rhode Island. In the wake of the Great New England Hurricane of 1938, which made landfall in New England on September 21, Kevorkian documented the aftermath of the storm in and around his neighborhood including the East Side, Downtown Providence, and the Providence River.
