Description
A Jewish cemetery with the graves of the Ben'Oliel family and the daughter of Charles Pettingall, Julia Maria Pettingall. It is located near Praia de Cabral. Pettingall was an English diplomat who, along with his family fled Boa Vista during a yellow fever plague in the 1840s. They returned five years later believing the plague was over;sadly he was wrong and his daughter perished.
