Description
Nestled among other flora in Cape Verde is the Ricinus communis plant, more commonly known as the Castor Oil Plant. This perennial herbaceous plant is noted for its beautiful leaves that have anywhere from seven to eleven pointed segments on each. Most importantly to note is that the oil collected from the seeds are commonly used for industrial and medicinal purposes.
