Description
The Old Coventry Cathedral was damaged by bomb runs in World War II. Rather than demolishing the ruins, and a new cathedral was built adjacent to the damaged medieval cathedral. The new building, a modernist cathedral designed by Basil Spence and Arup, sits beside the damaged structure, linking the ruins and the new design as one large church.
