Description
The Westminster Street shopping area was closed to vehicle traffic in the early 1960s in an effort to bring shoppers back to downtown Providence. The buildings in the area varied in architectural style. Some buildings have been removed, yet Westminster Street is still home to a number of shops and restaurants.
