Used. Postmark: July 30, 1908. Caption: "THE PROVIDENCE RIVER is formed by the confluence of the Moshassuck and Woonasquatucket Rivers, and enters the harbor at Fox Point, where it is joined by the Seekonk. Extensive dredging operations have secured a channel 17 feet deep. The river is crossed by several bridges, one of these, the Great Bridge, which is said to be the widest in the world."
