Description

São Pedro is home to fishing villages but also a major airport that serves both São Vicente and Santo Antão, and was recently upgraded to become an international airport (2009). This photograph, from 1980, shows a small house near the water in São Pedro. Many of these houses were acquired to make the Hotel Foya Branca, the only modern hotel in the area.
