Description

Construction of public housing in Madison’s Triangle neighborhood during the 1960s. The area had previously been a largely Italian neighborhood known as Greenbush. Construction of affordable public housing in the 1960s displaced many families and local businesses as part of a nationwide urban revitalization movement.
