Description

The dirt road that winds between the mountains in this photo connects Mindelo to Baìa das Gatas. the travel time is 15 minutes but requires a four-wheel drive vehicle. Baîa das Gatas is home to a natural lagoon, semi-permenant fishing camps and weekend resorts. Doting the landscape are small farms, which are surrounded by stone walls to keep goats from grazing on crops.
